Who We Are:
The Society of St. Vincent de Paul is a worldwide organization that works locally to house, feed, and clothe individuals and families in our community who have nowhere else to turn for help. Our volunteer members – known as Vincentians – are women and men who are compelled by our Catholic Christian faith to serve the needy and suffering.
What We Do:
Our St. Francis of Assisi St. Vincent de Paul Conference provides assistance and fellowship to neighbors in need. From emergency rent and utility bill assistance, to food, clothing, gas, and bus transportation needs, we help neighbors in crisis in Victorian Village, the University District, and the Downtown area. Unfortunately, the requests for help from these neighbors far outweighs the resources that we receive. In 2024, we provided rent, food and utility bill assistance totaling more than $40,000. This funding is raised by donations from St. Francis of Assisi parishioners, from SFA Vincentian Conference members, and from partnering with other St. Vincent de Paul Society conferences in Central Ohio. We also make 400 sandwiches each month to distribute at local food pantries and we provide a monthly lunch to at-risk youth at STAR House in Columbus.

We invite you to join us in sharing your gifts of time, talent and resources. We meet monthly on the 2nd Thursday of each month at 7:00 p.m. in the SFA Parish Hall. We share fellowship, prayers and service projects for those in need in our community. Do you have questions about our Conference or attending a meeting?
