SPIRIT OF HOPE DISASTER RELIEF
2ND COLLECTION
We pray for all families impacted by the recent storms in our Diocese. particularly those displaced by the historic flooding in Perry & Muskingum counties. Bishop Fernandes is asking all parishes to conduct a 2nd collection for the diocesan Spirit of Hope Disaster Response Fund. 100% of all monies raised will be used to support the work of parishes in the affected areas and to organizations like Catholic Social Services and local SVdP conferences which are providing relief efforts. Checks should be made out to our parish with 'Spirit of Hope' in the memo line. You can also give online directly at ColumbusCatholic.org using this link. The Spirit of Hope Disaster Relief Fund 2nd collection will take place at SFA on 8/23.
THANK YOU, LAUREL MARAZITA
With gratitude and a touch of sadness we announce that after almost 40 years of dedication as a church musician, Laurel has decided to retire from church service. Her last Sunday with us will be on September 6th. We have been blessed to have her on our staff since 2010. Her artistry and musicianship have enhanced our liturgies and allowed us to pray more fully. Join us after the 11:00 Mass for refreshments and time to wish her all the best in retirement!
ORGANIST JOB OPENING
We seek a part-time organist to join our Music Ministry team upon retirement of our current organist. Click below for a description of the position.
TAKE THE CABRINI PLEDGE TODAY!
The history of the U.S. Catholic Church, like the history of the United States itself, is very much intertwined with the phenomenon of migration. The Cabrini pledge is both a reminder of our immigrant heritage and a call to deeper engagement with our faith in response to current events. The USCCB encourages you to become a Keeper of Hope by taking the Cabrini Pledge.

MASS INTENTIONSThe greatest, most powerful and charitable prayer we have in the Catholic Church is the Eucharistic celebration called the Holy Mass, the Breaking of the Bread. Mass Intentions may be requested for Sundays, most holy days, and weekdays throughout the year for the living and the dead, or in thanksgiving for God's blessings in life such as a birthday, a wedding anniversary, during a time of illness, etc. Requesting a Mass is not only a sign of our flourishing faith, but of our generous heart for those who say these Masses. Mass offerings in the Diocese are typically $10 and can be scheduled by calling or emailing the parish office.
